07Coherence
Photons of an ordinary source are emitted at random instants with random phases.
In a laser the photons are emitted together, with the same phase, and keep a constant phase difference while travelling (coherence in time and in place).
This allows interference to be observed over large distances and makes the beam intense and focusable.
Coherence is the property that makes holographypossible.
