Lesson 2: The Human Immune System

Course: Biology & Geology Unit: Chapter 4 - Immunity in Living Organisms Assessment: 30 Interactive MCQs 📝
Lesson Overview & Ministry Learning Outcomes:
The human immune system consists of primary lymphoid organs (bone marrow, thymus) where lymphocytes mature, secondary lymphoid organs (spleen, lymph nodes, tonsils, Peyer patches), white blood cells (B, T, NK cells, macrophages), and antibodies.

01 Structure and Diversity of Antibodies (Immunoglobulins)

Antibodies are Y-shaped glycoproteins (IgG, IgM, IgA, IgD, IgE) composed of two identical heavy chains and two identical light chains bound by disulfide bonds. Each antibody has two identical antigen-binding variable regions at the tip of the Y arms.

⚠️ High-Yield Ministerial Exam Traps & Misconceptions

💡 The Golden Review Capsule for Rapid Revision
