Finding Limits Algebraically
Explanation
Lesson summary
Lesson summary
Always start with direct substitution. If the denominator is not zero, the limit is the result.
If the result is 0/0, factorise the numerator and denominator and cancel the common factor.
If a square root appears, multiply by the conjugate and then simplify.
Use the limit laws for sums, products, quotients and powers.
