Lesson summary
Lesson summary
Gravity is an attractive force between any two objects with mass. It increases with the masses and decreases with the distance between them.
Mass is the amount of matter and is measured in kilograms; weight is a force and is measured in newtons.
Weight W = m × g, where g ≈ 9.8 N/kg on the Earth and 1.6 N/kg on the Moon.
Weight changes from place to place, but mass stays the same.
