Electric Forces

Lesson summary

Lesson summary

  • There are two kinds of charge. Like charges repel and unlike charges attract.
  • Objects are charged by rubbing, conduction or induction. In rubbing, only electrons move.
  • Total charge = number of extra or missing electrons × 1.6 × 10−19 C.
  • Conductors allow charge to pass through; insulators keep the charge in place.
