Lesson summary

Lesson summary

  • The square root of a positive number is positive. The cube root is defined for negative numbers too.
  • √(a²) = |a|, and 3√(a³) = a.
  • √(a × b) = √a × √b, and √(a ÷ b) = √a ÷ √b for positive numbers.
