Lines and Planes in Space
Explanation
Determining a plane
Determining a plane
A plane is a flat surface extending indefinitely. It is determined by any one of the following:
Three points that are not on one straight line.
A straight line and a point not on it.
Two intersecting straight lines.
Two parallel straight lines that are not coincident.
Any straight line lying in a plane meets any other plane either in a single straight line, or is parallel to it, unless the two planes coincide.
