Lesson summary
Lesson summary
Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space. It exists as solid, liquid or gas.
A solid has fixed shape and volume; a liquid has fixed volume and takes the shape of its container; a gas fills its container.
Density = mass ÷ volume. An object floats if its density is less than the density of the liquid.
Physical properties are observed without changing the substance; chemical properties appear during a reaction.
