Common mistakes

Writing the endpoints in the wrong order, such as [5, 1] instead of [1, 5].
Confusing the square and round brackets, which includes an endpoint that should be excluded.
Forgetting to reverse the inequality sign when multiplying or dividing by a negative number.
Writing ∞ with a closed bracket, such as [3, ∞], instead of (3, ∞).
