Lesson summary
Lesson summary
Internal energy is the total kinetic and potential energy of the particles of a substance.
Temperature measures the average kinetic energy of the particles and does not depend on the mass.
Specific heat capacity is the heat needed to raise the temperature of 1 kg of a substance by 1 °C.
Heat is calculated from Q = m × c × ΔT.
T (K) = t (°C) + 273.
